TIGER’S EYE
Tiger’s eye is a chatoyant variety of quartz which has iron oxide staining that gives it the golden yellow color. It has a silky luster and the chatoyancy is present on the fractures. The most important deposit of tiger’s eye is in South Africa. It is also found in Burma, India, western Australia and California (USA).
