CHRYSOBERYL
Chrysoberyl is a hard and durable gemstone and when it is well cut the gems are brilliant but they lack fire. It mainly comes from Brazil, Sri Lanka and Russia. It also occurs in Burma, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Madagascar. Chrysoberyl cat’s eye when cut in cabochon has near-white line across the stone due to canal or feather-like fluid inclusions or needle-like inclusions of rutile. It is mainly found in Sri Lanka, Brazil and China.
